Thompson Manor is a tranquil three bedroomed Villa, situated on a one and a half acre land area, lush green with tea, pepper and coconut cultivation, just one kilometre from the Galle exit of the Southern Expressway and within a 10-minute drive to the city centre and the world famous Unawatuna beach.
This magnificent Dutch-style colonial villa with its large verandahs, spacious sitting room, open courtyards, high ceilings and polished cement floors will offer you a relaxing and tranquil stay. An early morning walk through the large garden with shady fruit trees and other flora that attracts many species of birds, monkeys and peacocks will heighten your senses and keep you fresh and enthusiastic to face the day.
Historically, the villa was built on the land that E. W, Thompson, a British planter who worked for the Walahanduwa tea estate once lived between 1928 and 1931.
The villa has all the modern conveniences, such as air conditioned rooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi facilities and a swimming pool that basks in the shade of coconut palms and is staffed by a skilled cadre of employees, who will cater to your every need.

It was mine and my partners first time staying t the Thompson Manor and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end, overall hotel and area were stunning.
Beautiful resort, we loved the settings and really enjoyed our walks. The staff were outstanding and so was the breakfast the next morning. We didn't do any of the activities because of time but they looked amazing
Breakfast brilliant. Beds comfy. Facilities excellent. Staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Very family friendly. Lots to do and see nearby.
